The US Table
Tennis Foundation
We are a
charitable non-profit organization founded by the exceptional
profits obtained from the 1984 Olympic Games. Our purpose is to
solicit funds and financially
support the development
Table Tennis in
the United States through grants, donations and sponsorships.
High Performance
programs are essential to create a structure that supports an
“Olympic Athlete Pipeline”. Currently, the fundamental structure of
the Olympic Athlete Pipeline only exist at the college level. Research recommends
that specialized Table Tennis training of athletes begin at the age
of five. A minimum of 10 years of daily training is required to
create the technical base to be an elite table tennis athlete.
Approximately 125
colleges have table tennis programs, but
currently only a few are fully funded with staff, athletic
scholarships and competition travel. One of the foundations objectives is to support newly emerging high
performance College Programs.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Table Tennis is a sport enjoyed by players of all ages and physical
abilities promoting fitness and health.
Advertising opportunities are created by matching sponsors to sports programs for elite athletes, juniors,
young adults and
seniors. Join our partnership team by
becoming a contributor or title sponsor in Table Tennis sports development. You may also establish Scholarships in
your name. We are currently seeking a Major Sponsor that will have naming
rights to Regional & National
Training Centers.
Mike Dempsey Memorial Tournament
Thanks to generious donations in Memory of Michael Dempsey, the United States Table Tennis Foundation will be supporting an ITTF Sanctioned Memorial Tournament for disabled athletes to be held in San Diego. More details will be posted soon.
