Diplomacy: The Rematch 2008
High ranking U.S. & Chinese
diplomats celebrate ongoing friendships through table tennis with
annual matches between former members of the 1971 US and Chinese "Ping
Pong Diplomacy" teams. Table tennis exhibitions and clinics are open to
the public and are televised worldwide. Official government ceremonies are
also highlighted with the secretary of state, honor guards, Nixon Library
officials and other US and Chinese dignitaries. This International relationship continues to create
important business opportunities with China and other Asian countries.
